My name is Heston Kan and this is my personal website. I am a graduate of Computer Science at the University of Guelph.
I worked for NBC Olympics during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Games. I also do work for the Computing and Communication Services at the University of Guelph as a student technical support consultant. During the summer, I am employed by St. George’s School as the Summer Programs Office Manager. I attended Shad Valley in 2005 at Lakehead University. I hold a CSIA Level 1 Ski Instructor Certificate and am an avid skier at Whistler-Blackcomb. For more details about my previous work experiences, please visit my Linkedin account.
I am from Vancouver, Canada and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including skiing, mountain biking and track and field. I run my own servers on multiple platforms and have aided in a variety of networking and internet-related projects. I am horrible at visual designs but have almost perfect pitch and have been involved in professional audio and production management for many years. I run a photo website called picaday.ca and am a zealous Nikon user.
This is my first official blog which I hope to share some day-to-day experiences with the world along with providing you with some simple advice about technology. This particular blog uses wordpress as the blogging platform. This site is hosted on a linux server however all my email runs through an exchange server with a the Blackberry Enterprise Software.
